Managing Program Development Life Cycles in SAS LSAF

Abstract: Efficient management and documentation of the development and life cycle of programs used for clinical trial reporting is often challenging. Some companies are using a mix of naming conventions, spreadsheets and manual processes, utilising, for example, subfolders to identify program status during code development and validation over the course of a study. Life cycle management using manual processes is error-prone and can result in audit findings.

SAS LSAF (Life Science Analytics Framework – previously SAS Drug Development) provides versioning and eSignature. These capabilities can be utilised to implement simple and efficient life cycle management of programs and other artefacts. Dedicated APIs also enable users to consume related attribute values and develop reports and metrics to monitor progress of their studies.

This presentation will elaborate on LSAF features supporting life cycle management and their implementation and will introduce real-life examples.
